How do i help my sis over the loss of her dog?

my sis has been to hell and back but she has always come out ontop..we lived with our alcoholic dad until she left one day, then the next week she took me with her and now i live with her...we have a few dogs but our eldest was her dog the dog she had grown up with..the cleverest dog ive ever known...her dog was only 8 and had a massive liver tumor and had to be put down...this dog saved our dads life when he collapsed and has protected my sis she was my sisters best friend and her only one sure thing...she is gutted now and i dont know how to help her she has always been there for me and given up her childhood to look after me and my dad. everytime she gets up she gets knocked back down and everytime she has been able to laugh and just say s*it happens but this time its taken its toll...she has been through so much and now her best friend and sure thing has gon how do i stop her pain! we burried rolo in the garden and she smiled when i threw in rolos favorite toy but shes in bits..How do i help my sis over the loss of her dog?
I am so sorry to hear that your sister is in so much pain after loosing her best friend. The best way to help your sister is to be there for her, and listen to her, but from what you have said it seems like you guys are pretty close and you have been through so much together, and this in time will help her get over her loss. Also tell her that her little dog will always be with her as she is alive in her heart. Just be there for her.I lost my dog of 15yrs this past July and it still hurts.I just remember all the unconditional love that I had for all those yrs and try to think of all the good times we had,to some its like losing a family memeber which I considered my boy to be.You can';t stop her pain only time will help.HUGS HELP!
Oh, I am so sorry about your sisters dog. I had a similar thing happen to my dog... diabetes. Liver infection. We spent almost 3000 dollars a year for random vet bills... She was a wonderful dog. What helped me through it is just constantly reminding myself that she was with God. God is taking care of rolo too and I'm sure that rolo is in the most amazing place far greater then the human imagination is capable of imagining.
It is really tough to loose a good friend. Try to take her mind off of her loss. Take her out to dinner, to a movie, maybe to the shelter to pick out another.
Tell you'r sister that no matter where the dog is it's always in her heart.
