How old would an ex-alcoholic and ex-addict live to be, do you think?

If this person was an alcoholic their whole life and a drug addict for several years, using drugs like OxyContin and other lesser painkillers through snorting, injection and taking them orally, with issues of depression and other mental health, how old do you think they would live to be, if they were on and off addicts for the last ten or twenty years? How old would an ex-alcoholic and ex-addict live to be, do you think?
It depends.... They could be hit by a drunk driver and be killed in an instant! ! ! ! Don't trip on it. Live each day like it's your last. Remember that one?

Happy Holidays ! ! ! : )How old would an ex-alcoholic and ex-addict live to be, do you think?
There is no such thing as an ex-alcoholic or an ex-addict. Addiction is a lifetime problem.

I have been alcohol-free for 31 years, five months and 13 days. I could be dead drunk tomorrow and right back where I was on the day I had my last drink, and would die in two to six weeks if I kept on drinking.

BTW, I will be 73 in February.

And there are very few old drunks.... we just look old.

I agree with Teri, life will be taken away that we'll never know. Such situation will happen especially when you are uncontrollable or out of mind such as driving drunk or taken drugs.

Life will be shorten because alcohol or drugs have effects and destroys the body system.
for those lengths of use, i'd say the two of them haven't lost too many years. maybe shortened their life by 5-10 years. not too bad.
